Storytelling: A Springboard for Writing
When listening to stories, the door to imagination swings open providing models and inspiration for writing personal stories, fiction, and poetry. This workshop can focus on either poetry or prose writing and can be customized for grade level. Ideally, a series of workshops would help develop a deeper understanding of the writing process.
We recommend two hours for this workshop. It supports core curriculum content standards in
language literacy (3.3).
