Telling Stories to Young Children
Storytelling helps young children grow in awareness and understanding of language. The stories and activities tellers use are specifically geared to this age group. In this workshop teachers will listen to and experiment with telling tales and encouraging the participation of young children.
This workshop can be tailored to programs of two hours, three hours, or a full day. It supports core curriculum content standards in language literacy (3.1 and 3.2) and the visual and performing arts (1.1 and 1.2).
