Storytelling and Conflict Resolution

Stories contain powerful metaphors that serve as both models and mirrors to our lives. Listening to, discussing, writing about, and acting out stories, students can explore why conflict occurs, what choices we have, and what consequences ensue as a result of those choices. In this workshop we will explore how stories can be a focus for conflict resolution workshops.

We recommend two hours for this workshop. It supports core curriculum content standards in language literacy (3.1 and 3.2).
